In the human mind fairness depends on which side you are one. For example if your husband was cheating on his wife with a woman who loved him that woman would think it was fair because the husband wasn’t getting what he needed with his wife so he turned to her. But on the wife’s view she would think that it was disgraceful and totally not fair because they were married and promised to be faithful.

And nothing is fair in war, even with whatever side you are on. War is a lose:lose situation and barely anything good ever comes out of it. The winners wins, but truly loses millions or hundred or however many lives, but the loser loses people and pride. War makes no sense, but it is necessary, I suppose. Humans love bloodshed and lust for it, like any other animal.
